Personal Statement

I have worked in many settings since becoming a licensed therapist. I have done wound/burn care, acute care, SNF, IPR, and outpatient (adults). I now join Texas Children’s Hospital – Kingwood Outpatient Therapy Center with the goal of returning patients/athletes to their highest level of function possible. I believe therapy should be fun and should implement everyday activities to have a long term impact on patients’ lives. I agree with the statement “If you don’t use it, you lose it.” I want to teach my patients how to utilize their bodies correctly so that function is optimized and so they can have a long, healthy life.
