Personal Statement

Selvin Pulickathottiyil is a Physician Assistant with the Surgical Hospitalist team at Texas Children’s West Campus. He joined Texas Children’s Hospital in 2021. As a surgical hospitalist, he enjoys the versatility of working with various surgical subspecialities which includes General Surgery, ENT, Orthopedics, Plastics, and Urology. He particularly enjoys taking care of patients admitted to the hospital and managing their treatment from admission to discharge.

Selvin’s role as a Surgical Hospitalist includes seeing surgical consults in the emergency center, first assisting in the OR, and managing patients preoperatively and postoperatively. He values the continuous learning from collaborating with various surgical subspecialites and advancing his technical skills through bedside procedures and assisting in the OR.

Selvin received his undergraduate degree in Biology from University of Texas at San Antonio in 2016. He then completed his Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree from Hardin Simmons University in 2020. He is certified through the NCCPA and medically licensed through the Texas Medical Board.
