Personal Statement
As a member of the Adolescent Medicine interdisciplinary team, I provide inpatient and outpatient psychological services to teens and their families through individual, group, and family therapy. I primarily work with teenage girls and boys with eating disorders such as Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, and Eating Disorder-Not Otherwise Specified. I also am experienced in working with teens experiencing depression, anxiety, adjustment difficulties, and body image concerns.
I utilize cognitive-behavioral strategies in therapy and provide a supportive, strengths-based approach to patient care. I have a passion for working with adolescents which is reflected through my therapeutic approach. As such, I take care to acknowledge the unique developmental tasks and transitions adolescents and their families are facing, such as identity development and increased autonomy.

Research interests
My research interests are also in the realm of adolescent mental health and eating disorders. My current research endeavor is focused on eating disorders in Latino/Hispanic teens and how to best serve this population in treatment.
