Monica Guerra is a board certified Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for the Cancer and Hematology Center at Texas Children's Hospital where she is based out of Vannie Cook Children's Clinic in the Rio Grande Valley (McAllen, TX).
She previously worked in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Cardiology at Texas Children's Hospital where she provided advanced nursing care for patients with life-threatening illnesses or injuries, and also the Heart Center where she delivered care to pre-and post-operative patients, post-cardiac catheterization patients, patients with left ventricular assist devices, and patients awaiting cardiac transplantation.
She attended the Health Science Center at Texas Tech University for her masters of science in nursing. Prior to her masters, she received her bachelors of science in nursing from Texas Women's University.
