Marian Abowd, MS, LAT, ATC

Personal Statement

As a residency trained athletic trainer, Marian is skilled in the evaluation and treatment of athletic injuries, specifically in the knee, shoulder and elbow. Her role at Texas Children's Hospital is primarily spent as a liaison for Spring ISD. This role includes providing medical coverage for the middle schools, as well as supporting the high school sports medicine staff. Other parts of Marian’s role at Texas Children's Hospital include working as a physician extender and being a co-investigator for concussion research. From working with athletes from pee-wee league to the Olympic level, she always strives to provide the highest quality care for her patients.
