In May of 2009, I graduated from Baylor University and started my career as a Registered Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at a community hospital in Houston. After 2 years, I decided that I wanted to expand my knowledge on neonatal diagnoses and further challenge myself in a higher level of care so I transferred to Texas Children’s Hospital to work in the level IV NICU. In 2016, I transferred to the Pavilion NICU at TCH and joined the Neo Response Team. As a Neo Response RN, I attended high-risk deliveries and had the opportunity to care for my patients and their families in one of the most vulnerable and crucial times in their lives. While in this role, I gained a passion for fetal therapy and decided to transfer to the Fetal Center in 2021. My goal as a Fetal Center Nurse Coordinator is to help families as they navigate their high-risk pregnancy, to educate them on their baby’s complex fetal diagnosis, and to support them throughout their journey.
