Personal Statement
Dr. Poston is the Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) at Texas Children’s Hospital and also serves as the Laser Safety Officer. He is board certified by the American Academy of Health Physics and the Board of Certified Safety Professionals and is licensed to practice Medical Health Physics by the Texas Medical Board. His primary area of focus is the safe use of radioactive material in the clinical environment as well as in research. Dr. Poston has over 35 years of experience in radiation safety and served as RSO at MD Anderson Cancer Center before joining Texas Children’s Hospital.
