Personal Statement
Working with patients and families with complex medical needs requires an interdisciplinary approach, and patients with chronic kidney disease can be quite challenging. My philosophy of care includes managing all aspects of the disease with the entire team including the family, social worker, child life specialist, quality of life, school liaison, nurses, and physicians. I truly believe working as a team, including the family, is the best way to treat pediatric patients with chronic kidney disease
