Get to know Jennifer A. Rama, MD
Dr. Rama cares for patients with a wide variety of pulmonary disorders at Texas Children's Hospital. She is actively involved in medical education and develops innovative curricula to enhance fellowship education. Her ongoing educational endeavors include the development, implementation, and refinement of curricula in academic career development, respiratory therapy, and cost awareness in medical decision-making. Her educational projects have been presented at the Pediatric Academic Society conference. Dr. Rama's pulmonary research focuses on childhood interstitial lung diseases. She completed a multi-center, retrospective study evaluating the outcomes of children who underwent lung transplantation for interstitial lung diseases. Her research has been presented at the American Thoracic Society, the American College of Chest Physicians, as well as the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation meetings. In collaboration with expert radiologists, she is also studying the diagnostic accuracy of CT chest findings in inborn errors of surfactant metabolism.
