Personal Statement
Dr. Bartlett decided to enter general pediatrics because she really enjoyed developing long-term relationships with her patients. “Raising my children in the same community as I practice has given me the opportunity to see my patients shine on the field, on stage, in theater and academically because I am involved with many of the same schools and activities with my own children,” she says. “It gives me a much richer picture of my patients’ lives and allows me to better understand some of the challenges they face as well.”
Bartlett and her spouse, Kelly Tjelmeland, MD, have three daughters. In her free time, she enjoys adventure travelling and has spent time in the Amazon, South Pacific, Caribbean, England and Norway, enjoying skiing, diving and snorkeling.
