Personal Statement
For as long as I can remember, dance has been part of my life. I started taking classes at the age of three and never looked back. It did not take me long to recognize that dancers and other types of performing artists get injured at a high rate and commonly do not seek out the care they need. I had an incredible physical therapist growing up who understood the skills and performance qualities that I would need to get back to the stage, and it meant the world to be to have him in my corner.
I am strongly committed to providing evidence-based care to my patients and their families. Regardless of the activity that our athlete participates in, I want them to understand that we are here as part of their support system to get them safely back to what they love. As a physical therapist at Texas Children's Hospital, I believe that we are equipped with the tools to provide the highest quality care for our patients.
