Personal Statement
As a Pediatric Health Psychologist in the Renal Section at TCH, my passion and work is with families and patients who have renal conditions. My primary clinical interests are assessing and improving mood, coping, adherence, and adjustment to the medical condition and treatment. A key component of this, both clinically and in research, involves monitoring the Quality of Life of our patients to assure patients are doing well in multiple aspects of their lives. As a team, we utilize a multidisciplinary approach to provide care and support beyond the physical aspects of the patient’s medical condition.
Clinical Interests:
• Clinical Psychology
• End Stage Renal Disease / chronic dialysis
Research Interests:
• Patient reported outcomes
• Transitioning from pediatric nephrology to adult-based care
