Personal Statement
Cathryn's philosophy of care centers around a holistic approach to treating youth athletes. Specifically, she believes in helping them achieve and maintain optimal physical, mental, social and spiritual well-being while balancing the demands of being a young student-athlete. Being an outreach athletic trainer for Texas Children's Hospital allows Cathryn to advocate for the youth athletes in Greater Houston by providing support, care and sports coverage, while also increasing awareness of the importance of proper medical care in the sports setting.
Before joining Texas Children’s, Cathryn was an Assistant Director of Sports Medicine at the University of Houston, working with the women’s soccer, tennis and softball programs.
