Get to know Bryony Lucas, DO
Dr. Bryony Lucas began her pediatric hematology-oncology fellowship training in 2022.
Prior to entering medical school, Dr. Lucas first obtained degrees in Dance and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Studies at New York University. After dancing professionally at the Metropolitan Opera in New York City, she worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator at Weill Cornell whilst completing her post-baccalaureate pre-medical studies at Fordham University. During medical school, Dr. Lucas found a passion for pediatrics and subsequently, completed pediatric residency training at Case Western Reserve University/Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.
Throughout her training, she has had the opportunity to provide care for many children with a wide variety of cancer and blood disorders.
Dr. Lucas has a particular interest in mental health care for these complex patients and is dedicated to supporting her patients and their families in all aspects of care throughout their illnesses.
Dr. Lucas is undergoing her pediatric hematology and oncology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Children's Hospital. Dedicated to the field, Dr. Lucas continues to focus on fighting childhood cancer and aims to improve the lives of the patients and families that she serves.
