Get to know Anna Rueda, MD
Dr. Anna Rueda grew up in Tyler, Texas. She received her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University and her Medical Degree from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. She completed her pediatric residency training and a year of chief residency at Baylor College of Medicine. After graduation Dr. Rueda spent three years working as a general pediatrician and hospitalist on the Navajo reservation in Shiprock, NM with the Indian Health Service. She returned to Baylor as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Academic General Pediatrics in May of 2016. She is a Board Certified Pediatrician, a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and member of the Academic Pediatric Association. Dr. Rueda’s special interests include primary care for children with complex medical needs, providing care for the underserved and underinsured with emphasis on preventative care and patient education. Her academic interests are focused on medical student and resident education.
