Sandra Engle is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and currently is the Acute Care Specialty Coordinator as well as a C1 and C2 certified Schroth therapist at Texas Children's Hospital. Sandra completed her Masters and Doctorate in Physical Therapy at St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa. She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio where she majored in Sports Science and minored in Zoology and Psychology. Sandra played soccer at Ohio Wesleyan University for 4 years which helped grow her love of injury prevention and treatment of athletes.

Sandra is passionate about treating patients on the inpatient floors post-operatively, as well as treating them in the outpatient setting. She enjoys treating patients with scoliosis using specific exercises to improve postural symmetry, decrease pain, and increase confidence with body image.

Clinical Interests:

Inpatient: Post-operative orthopedic, trauma, and general surgery patients

Outpatient: Adolescent idiopathic scoliosis patients

Scoliosis specific exercises to improve postural symmetry

* Schroth Therapy:

*C1 and L1 certified therapists are able to treat idiopathic adolescent scoliosis

*C2 certified therapists are able to treat idiopathic adolescent scoliosis, post-surgical patients, adult scoliosis, and treat with group sessions
