Dr. Purser is pediatric psychologist at Texas Children’s Hospital-West campus who specializes in working with youth and families affected by medical conditions including chronic headaches and migraines, diabetes, sickle cell disease, and cancer. As a pediatric psychologist, Dr. Purser helps patients adjust to their medical diagnosis, learn new pain management strategies, improve adherence to medication and enhance family communication. Other areas of focus include developing and maintaining healthy habits such as sleep, physical activity and diet. She utilizes both evidence-based and strengths-based positive psychology interventions and highlights the importance of family collaboration and communication.
