Maria Grant, PT, DPT, CKTP, CIMI®

Personal Statement

Maria, a physical therapist and clinical specialist at Texas Children’s Specialty Care Cy-Fair, considers it an honor to help each of her patients reach their maximum independent functional potential using their gross motor skills, which involve the largest muscles in the body. She has been a practicing physical therapist since 2000. Prior to that, she gained ample experience in the PT field working as a physical therapy technician. She has practiced in numerous settings, including nursing homes, home health, hospitals, pediatric inpatient and, primarily, the pediatric outpatient setting.  Maria has been with Texas Children's from 2003 to 2004, returning in 2006 to present.

In addition to her postgraduate degrees, Maria holds certifications as a Kinesio Taping Practitioner and Infant Massage Therapist. She continues to expand her knowledge by organizing educational in-services for staff members and regularly participating in continuing education courses.

My peers have nicknamed me “the baby whisperer.” From a young age, I have always had a special place in my heart for babies and children of all ages. Working with children with developmental issues and infants is my passion.
