Simply put, I am dedicated to providing empathetic care that is of the highest quality.  I am devoted to fostering and promoting inter-disciplinary teamwork and collaboration which will accomplish this mission.  I am equally dedicated to educating our next generation of healthcare providers in how to function and work in our increasingly complex healthcare system.  Lastly, I am committed to the preparation of future pediatric intensivists for a career in academia.

Clinical Interests:

As the Medical Director of Respiratory Care, I have interests in the management of acute and chronic pediatric respiratory failure and mechanical ventilation.  More specifically, I am interested in the science of improvement to optimize the delivery of care and minimize waste.

Research Interests:

I have a strong interest in medical education, particularly,  in educational-based research and curriculum design.  My current focus is on novel instructional strategies, as well as, the effect of conceptual frameworks on curricular outcomes.
