The Simulation Center at Texas Children’s Hospital is a multidisciplinary, hospital-based center providing hands-on pediatric and obstetric simulation training in a realistic environment to improve patient safety and patient care.
The simulation center partners with clinical leaders to identify and develop simulation learning needs across our system. Simulation helps to provide an immersive learning experience which is designed to improve patient safety, quality of care, team performance, team communication, and individual performance. In addition, simulation is often used as a quality tool to help design/develop new processes, new clinical environments, etc.
The integration of healthcare simulation and quality education to promote continuous learning and improvement in the culture of safety, quality of care, and patient/provider experience, for the improvement of health in children and women.
