School Nurse Program

Texas Children’s Hospital’s mission is to create a healthier future for children and women throughout our global community by leading in patient care, education, and research. That included our school nurses. We understand the demands put on school nurses and are committed to working together to be able to provide professional development that supports them in caring for their students.

School Nursing Professional Development Requests

If you are looking for a speaker to present on a specific topic or to coordinate a conference, meeting or professional day for you ISD or school, please complete this request form.

For events less than 2 hours, requests should be made 60 days in advance.

For events greater than 2 hours, requests should be made 120 days in advance to ensure availability and capacity.

Next Steps: 

  • Once our team has reviewed this form, you will be contacted to discuss further details about your program.
  • Once your program has been approved you will receive an email confirming dates/times with a Joint Provider Agreement that needs to be completed and signed and an invoice based on the confirmed agenda.
  • You will need to generate a purchase order for the program.
  • Once the professional development program has taken place your district’s business office will receive the final
