The midwives at Texas Children’s Pavilion for Women offer the full spectrum of services, from well-woman checkups to fulfilling your specific requests during labor and delivery. They’re also there to encourage you and provide you with postpartum care. As one of the largest hospital-based midwifery practices in the area, we offer experience, expertise and thoughtfulness to each of our patients. We’re certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board and able to collaborate with the Ob/Gyn doctors at Texas Children’s to ensure that your needs for comfort and a healthy delivery are met.
Services we offer
Gynecology: We offer full-service well-woman care, including pelvic exams, Pap tests, breast exams, cancer screenings and cancer detection.
Prenatal care: For women planning to start a family, our team helps you get a healthy start on your pregnancy.
Labor and delivery: A member of our midwife team is on call 24/7 so that when the time comes, a midwife is there to support you throughout your labor and delivery experience. We offer you the option of natural services to make the birthing process more comfortable, including aromatherapy, birthing balls, guidance on breathing techniques, massage, hydrotherapy and music.
Postnatal care: We’re experienced with the joys and trials that come after delivery and are here to be your guide to good health.
