Meet our physicians: Dr. Jennifer Bump

At Texas Children’s Pavilion for Women, we care for women and children from preconception, to long after the birth of the child. We are dedicated to obstetrics, gynecology and fetal intervention because we know to improve the health of children, we must start with mothers.

To help you get to know our physicians better, we decided to sit down with them and do a short Q&A. Learn more about Dr. Bump, specialist in gynecologic and obstetric care, below:

What are your favorites – Movie? TV show? Music? Food? Sport? Holiday?

My favorite movie is “Jaws” and favorite TV show is “Vikings.” I enjoy listening to blues and eating tortilla soup. My favorite sport is football and I really enjoy New Years.

Would you rather spend 10 minutes in the future or 10 minutes in the past? Why?

Past, so I could make a few different choices to avoid some mistakes.

What was the best piece of advice given to you?

Never, ever give up.

Do you have pets? What kind and what are their names?

I have a dog named Brisbane; two cats, Lydia and Tooters; and two koi fish.

Are you originally from Houston; if not, where are you from?

I was born in Berkeley, Calif. and raised in Austin.

Where did you attend school?

I went to L.C Anderson High School in Austin then J.T Austin and Texas Tech University for medical and business schools.

Tell us something your patients may be surprised to learn about you?

I worked as a black jack dealer for a brief time.
