In a paper published in the journal, Epilepsy and Behavior, researchers from Dr. John Swann's laboratory at the Cain Labs for Pediatric Neurology at Texas Children's Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine report that a clinically used ACTH preparation, Acthar® Gel (RCI) is effective in eliminating seizures and hypsarrhythmia-like activity in a majority of animals with epileptic spasms.
