Texas Children's Pediatric Associates announces Dr. Stanley Spinner as the new chief medical officer

HOUSTON - (June 28, 2012) - Today, Texas Children's Pediatric Associates (TCPA), the largest primary pediatric care network in the country with more than 200 pediatricians, announced that Dr. Stanley Spinner has been selected as the new chief medical officer. Spinner, who is also an associate clinical professor at Baylor College of Medicine (BCM), will be responsible for overseeing clinical operations in all of the medical organization's 47 locations. He will also be key to guiding the medical policies, practices and programs of TCPA by working closely with physician groups, researching and implementing cost effective best practices and facilitating communications across the organization. Spinner has served as a pediatrician for 27 years at TCPA - Town Country, the third practice to join the TCPA network. He was the chairman of TCPA's executive committee for 10 years and for 12 years served as the regional medical director for TCPA.

Spinner earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from The University of Texas at Austin and his medical degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He completed his pediatric residency program at BCM, earned a certificate in medical and healthcare management from Rice University and completed an advanced quality improvement and safety program at Texas Children's Hospital.
