The inaugural Feigin Rising Stars Research Symposium was held from 9am to 5pm on Thursday, January 18, 2024, in the Blue Bird Circle Auditorium, 7th Floor of the Duncan Neurological Research Institute. Many faculty, fellows, students, and other trainees from Baylor College of Medicine, Texas Children's Hospital and other area institutions attended the symposium.
This special symposium featured the best and the brightest young investigators (scientists and physician-scientists) from around the country who are poised to lead their independent research programs in the next few years. The keynote speaker for the event was Dr. Mary Armanios, Director of the Telomere Center and Professor of Oncology, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
