Inaugural Feigin Rising Stars Research Symposium

The Jan and Dan Duncan Neurological Research Institute hosted the inaugural Feigin Rising Stars Research Symposium on Thursday, January 18, 2024 in the Blue Bird Circle Auditorium. This special symposium featured the best and the brightest young investigators (scientists and physician-scientists) from around the country who are poised to lead their independent research programs in the next few years. It was attended by many faculty, fellows, students, and other trainees from Baylor College of Medicine, Texas Children's Hospital and other area institutions.

The keynote speaker for the event was Dr. Mary Armanios, Director of the Telomere Center and Professor of Oncology, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and the title of her talk was "The Long and Short Telomere Syndromes:  Paired Paradigms for Molecular Medicine."
