Personal Statement
I am a Speech-Language Pathologist with nearly three decades of experience working with a diverse variety of children from around the world. Beyond my clinical work, I am deeply committed to my family, traveling, the performing arts and community service that focuses on inclusive programming for individuals with disabilities.
I served as a high school campus Best Buddies sponsor where I designed and led innovative, collaborative programs alongside athletic teams and fine arts departments. These partnerships created meaningful, authentic high school experiences for students with special needs—experiences that were not symbolic, but truly relevant to each student’s personal interests, strengths and goals.
Whether through participation in athletics, music, performance or school-wide events, my focus was always on dignity, belonging and purpose.
My professional philosophy centers on providing high-quality, functional therapeutic interventions that integrate multiple modalities and reflect the real lives of the individuals I serve. I believe therapy is most powerful when it is collaborative, strengths-based and embedded within the environments where communication truly matters—school, home and community. This commitment continues to guide my work with students, families and interdisciplinary teams.
