Get to know Tiffany X. Nguyen, DO, FAAP
Dr. Tiffany, as she prefers to be called, graduated from Southern Methodist University with honors and studied Sciences and Archaeology. During her undergraduate education, she spent a year in the UK, studying Biological Sciences and Art History at University College, London. She then went on to medical school at the University of North Texas Health Science Center-Texas College is Osteopathic Medicine. She trained at Driscoll Children’s Hospital, a Texas A&M College of Medicine Residency Program, in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Dr. Tiffany is double-boarded, receiving a Certification by both the American Board of a Pediatrics and the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine. In addition, she received a Certification in Plant-Based Nutrition by E-Cornell.
She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and member of the Texas Medical Association, the Harris County Medical Society, the Houston Academy of Medicine, the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, and the Physician Committee for Responsible Medicine.
Dr. Tiffany is passionate about preventing illness and promoting health and wellness for her patients, colleagues, staff, and family. She enjoys learning and teaching, and has collaborated on educational blogs with Texas Children’s, Fully, and Kashi. She serves on the Pediatric Subcommittee of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, developing modern Plant-Based Healthy Plate recommendations as well as exercise and sleep prescriptions for kids. Recently, she had the privilege to address the USDA Dietary Guidelines Committee effecting policy on behalf of children’s nutrition and obesity prevention. She invites everyone to join her next initiative, Walk With A Doc, to educate and engage our community towards health and happiness for our children and their families.
Her hobbies include hiking, art history, flute, piano and cooking.
