Personal Statement
Monika Merryman, MOT, OTR/L, C/NDT joined Texas Children’s in October 2017. She holds a certification in neurodevelopmental treatment for children with cerebral palsy and other neuromotor disorders. Special interest include neurological disorders addressing posture and movement patterns to enhance participation in activities of daily living. Other areas of interest include developmental delays, sensory processing and autism with focus on functional skills through play to maximize participation and independence at home, school and in the community.
Monika completed her graduate studies from University of Texas at El Paso in 2014. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Child and Family Studies from Baylor University in 2010. She enjoys traveling, learning about various cultures, cooking/baking, and spending quality time with her family.
