Dr. Tcharmtchi is the program director for Critical Care Medicine Fellowship Program, the largest pediatric critical care medicine fellowship training program in the world. His main focus is on the education of fellows to competent academician leading them to the forefront of the delivery and research of medical education, specifically the domains of clinical training, and medical simulation. Dr. Tcharmtchi has trained more than 50 fellows and sees his time as program director, his professional legacy, as having mentored the next generation of intensivists who will impact the lives of many patients and families worldwide.
Clinical Interests
Dr. Tcharmtchi’s main interest is in medical and Neurocritical ICU as well as extracorporeal therapies.

Research interests
Dr. Tcharmtchi’s main interest focuses on exploring job characteristics that enrich and motivate pediatric fellowship program directors. In addition, developing a tool and assessing the degree of standardization of education and assessment of CVC placement as well as development of best practices in medical documentation: a curricular module for pediatricians and specialists.
