Mili Vakharia is an assistant professor and board-certified family nurse practitioner with an interest in chronic medical conditions. In her current role, she evaluates and treats patients with diabetes and associated co-morbidities. Outside of her clinical duties, she co-leads the Texas Children's Hospital's Diabetes Education Care Process Team, a multi-disciplinary quality improvement team that focuses on improving health care outcomes for patients with diabetes. Additionally, she is actively involved with many health organizations across the nation. She has been an invited presenter at various regional, national and international level conferences.
Personal Statement
I strive to provide evidenced-based care and shared health decisions involving both patient and family members to deliver successful clinical outcomes. It is also my privilege and utmost duty to provide quality care and support for any child – a parent’s most valuable asset.
