Personal Statement
I am a bilingual (Spanish-English) Speech-Language Pathologist with over a decade of experience working with children across a wide range of communication and feeding-swallowing diagnoses. Since earning my degree in 2014, I’ve had the opportunity to support diverse pediatric populations in a variety of clinical settings.
While my experience spans many areas of speech and language development, my professional passion lies in the evaluation and treatment of pediatric dysphagia, particularly in pre-school aged children and medically fragile infants. I have pursued extensive continuing education and mentorship in this area, completing specialized training in oropharyngeal dysphagia, videofluoroscopic swallow studies (VFSS), and neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) feeding evaluations and treatment.
My goal is to provide individualized, evidence-based care that empowers families and supports children in developing safe, functional feeding and communication skills from the earliest stages of life.
