Personal Statement
Korilyn is an Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit (IRU) Coordinator with more than two decades of service at Texas Children’s Hospital. She is part of an interdisciplinary team of specialists who treat children and adolescents with impairments from illness or injury, including conditions such as cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, traumatic brain injuries and many others.
Using a goal-oriented, family-centered approach, Korilyn collaborates with the IRU team to coordinate individualized care and services — ranging from physical, occupational and speech therapy to educational assistance and pain management — with the goal of providing the very best outcome for each patient and family.
During her long tenure at Texas Children’s, Korilyn has also provided high-quality nursing care to patients of Texas Children’s Rheumatology Clinic, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and Acute Care/Med-Surg.
From Mrs. Josey-Sanders:
I am passionate about the care we provide at Texas Children’s and have been blessed to work in different areas throughout my 22 years at the hospital. One fact remains the same — the care we deliver at Texas Children’s is unmatched. I love what I do, and it is very fulfilling to see patients get stronger each day as we prepare them for their journey home.
