Personal Statement

My career as a certified and licensed Speech-Language Pathologist began in August of 1980. Over the course of my 30+ years in the field, I’ve worked in a variety of settings, which have included: Developmental challenged residential facility, public school (assessment consultant), ECI, home health, and outpatient clinical settings.

I have my Texas Teacher Certification for K-12.

Clinical Interests:

Autism Spectrum Disorder; Language (receptive/expressive) Disorders, Oral Motor/Feeding Difficulties, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Systems, and individuals with severe communication challenges, i.e., cerebral palsy

Research Interests:

Development and implementation of cutting edge technology for severely communication challenged individuals
