Personal Statement
From personal experience, I understand what it’s like to care for a loved one with communication difficulties, making my work my passion. I pride myself in developing meaningful connections with my patients and their families. I find that in addition to using evidence-based treatment approaches, caring and gaining the trust of my patients and their families, are fundamental to their care and progress. Additionally, I understand that when I am working with a child and their families, there are many areas outside of speech and language that may need attention and care; therefore, a whole-child approach, through collaboration with multiple disciplines and specialties, is paramount for patients under my care at Texas Children’s Hospital.
