Nicole Melfi is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and currently the inaugural sports resident at Texas Children's Hospital. She is a recent transfer to Texas after completing her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Marquette University. She is currently pursuing completion of the sports residency program and her sports specialty certification while working at Texas Children’s in the Medical Center and West Campus locations. She is also a certified athletic trainer, certified strength and conditioning specialist, and holds a certification in the GRASTON technique.
Nicole believes in incorporating a combination of manual therapy techniques in addition to addressing movement dysfunctions through various exercises for return to daily activities and sport. She is passionate about injury prevention for athletes of all ages with experience from youth to collegiate athletics.
In her free time, Nicole enjoys staying active with recreational softball and volleyball leagues, yoga, and any outdoor activities.
