My role as social worker is to advocate on behalf of the patient at individual and systemic level when gaps of services are identified. As a social worker one of my primary role is to support the patient and empower the family/caregiver as they navigate the system. My other focus is to make sure the patient’s needs are met through: crisis intervention, education, advocacy and linking families to hospital and community resources.

Clinical Interests:

My clinical interest is providing healthcare resources and services that is needed to support children with disabilities. I am also interested in the transition of my disabled patients, making sure they receive the resources needed to be either independent or to assist the parents with caregiver burden.
