Lauren Miterko receives the prestigious Masao Ito award

Lauren Miterko, graduate student in Dr. Roy Sillitoe's laboratory at the Jan and Dan Duncan Neurological Research Institute at Texas Children's Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine received the prestigious Masao Ito Award from the Society for Research on Cerebellum and Ataxias. The Masao Ito Awards are presented to the best posters of trainees at the annual symposium of the Society. This year, three winners were chosen for this award and Miterko received it for her poster titled, "Sustained benefits of deep brain stimulation in the Car8wdl mouse model of cerebellar motor disease: A focus on the ataxia phenotype".
