David L. Nelson, Ph.D., is the newly elected 2018 President of the American Society of Human Genetics (ASHG). He is a Cullen Foundation Professor of Molecular and Human Genetics at the Baylor College of Medicine (NCM), Associate Director of the BCM Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Research Center, and Director of the BCM Integrative Molecular and Biomedical Sciences Graduate Program and an investigator at the Jan and Dan Duncan Neurological Research Institute.
