Four Texas Children's Faculty Earn National Leadership Roles and Honors
Recent leadership appointments and honors across Texas Children’s Cancer & Hematology Center underscore the expertise of our faculty and their impact on care for children with cancer and serious blood disorders.
Congratulations to the following individuals (pictured above, left to right, top to bottom):
• Ionela Iacobas, MD has been appointed Vice Chair of the Scientific Committee for the International Society for the Study of Vascular Anomalies, where she will help guide scientific strategy and global collaboration in vascular anomaly research.
• Sarah B. Whittle, MD has been appointed to the Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Subboard of the American Board of Pediatrics, supporting national certification standards and continued learning within the subspecialty.
• YoungNa J. Lee Kim, MD, MEd has been inducted into the Texas Beta Chapter of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, recognizing her commitment to leadership, scholarship, professionalism, and service.
• Frank Y. Lin, MD has also been inducted into Alpha Omega AlphaHonor Medical Society, joining a distinguished community of physician leaders.
