Dr. Arianexys Aquino-López completed her pediatric hematology-oncology fellowship training in 2024.
Her interests include: solid tumor immunotherapy, investigating approaches to potentiate anti-tumor effects of immune therapies against oncologic malignancies, such as cell and antibody therapies. She is also interested in studying the impact of tumor microenvironment in immune suppression in order to develop approaches to overcome cancer immune evasion.
Witnessing her brother go through pediatric cancer treatment served as an inspiration for her to study ways to improve cancer therapies.
Dr. Aquino-Lopez is committed to a career as a pediatrician-scientist with a particular interest in improving treatment options for children with cancer through the design of novel immune therapies.
