Aquino-López receives Outsmarting Osteosarcoma Young Investigator Award from MIB Agents Osteosarcoma Alliance

Texas Children’s Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Fellow graduate Dr. Arianexys Aquino-López received an Outsmarting Osteosarcoma  Young Investigator Award from MIB Agents Osteosarcoma Alliance.
 
This grant, which is funded by Sydney’s Osteosarcoma Fund, will support Dr. Aquino-López’ innovative preclinical research into new, cutting-edge immunotherapy approaches for osteosarcoma – the most common type of bone cancer in children and adults.  
 
“Witnessing my brother undergo osteosarcoma treatment inspired me to pursue a career as a physician scientist, to find better therapies for childhood cancer” said Dr. Aquino-López. “I am so thankful for the support provided by the family of OsteoAngel Sydney, whose legacy we will honor through quality research.”
