Texas Children's Cancer and Hematology Center Holds 21st Annual Research Symposium

The 21st Annual Research Symposium at Texas Children's Cancer & Hematology Center brought together leading minds in pediatric oncology and hematology on May 23, 2025, in Houston. The event featured keynote addresses from Dr. Vitanza from Seattle Children's highlighting cutting-edge CAR T cell therapies and Dr. O’Brien from Nationwide Children's Hospital addressing cancer-associated thrombosis.

Attendees explored over 50 poster presentations and two oral abstract sessions, showcasing innovations in immunotherapy, gene editing and disparities in pediatric cancer outcomes. From engineering CAR-NKT cells to tackling neuroblastoma metabolism, the symposium spotlighted the next generation of research leaders.

These collaborative efforts are driving forward our mission to improve outcomes for children with cancer and blood disorders.
