2023 Quality Awards

The Texas Children’s Cancer and Hematology Center Quality & Safety Leadership announced the quality improvement project “Implementing Photobiomodulation Therapy to Decrease Oral Mucositis Severity & Duration in Pediatric Cancer Care” has been selected as the 2023 Quality Award in Cancer and Hematology recipient. This innovative project is transforming approaches to patient care by introducing photobiomodulation as a preventative measure against oral mucositis.

The dedicated members of the project team include: Zachary Prudowsky, Kandice Bledsaw, Sharon Staton, Jenell Robins, Janet DeJean, Khoi Pham, Gabriella Llaurador, David Steffin and Alexandra Stevens.
