Bertuch receives Carson Family Telomere Biology Disorder Research Award
Awards

Dr. Alison Bertuch at Texas Children’s Hospital received the Carson Family Telomere Biology Disorder Research Award. The funds will support her research into identifying new therapeutic strategies for individuals with telomere biology disorders.
The funded research project is titled “Applying DNA-encoded chemistry technology to identify small molecule compounds that elongate telomeres.” By identifying novel strategies to increase telomere length, her team hopes to help patients with dyskeratosis congenita and other related disorders.
