Taylor Medina is a palliative care social worker who supports children with serious illnesses and their families as they navigate complex medical journeys. She previously worked in outpatient cardiology and the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) at Texas Children’s Hospital before transitioning to the Palliative Care team. Taylor is passionate about using a trauma-informed approach to help families feel heard, supported, and empowered throughout their child's care. She works closely with patients, caregivers and health care teams to provide psychosocial support, care coordination and advocacy, with a focus on helping families make decisions that reflect their goals and values.
