William is a Physical Therapist specializing in the assessment and treatment of chronic pain in children and adolescents. In addition to his clinical work, William has taught at the university, college, and clinical levels, with a focus on the use of electromodalities in rehabilitative medicine as well as the effective application of foundational therapeutic interventions. He is recognized as a developmentally informed, hands-on practitioner with expertise in manual techniques for relieving painful neuromuscular conditions. Above all, he values building meaningful connections with patients and families through a compassionate and empathetic approach to care.
William is bilingual and multicultural, which helps him connect with families from diverse backgrounds. Outside of work, he has a strong interest in nutrition and enjoys running, reading, birding and golfing. His wife, also a pediatric physical therapist, is from Central America, and together they enjoy traveling there frequently with their three children.

I believe in addressing the primary neural and/or musculoskeletal impairment first before progressing to more peripheral concerns as the patient improves. Especially in managing chronic conditions, patient engagement and understanding are essential from Day 1. For that reason, I emphasize treatment strategies and interventions that can be closely if not completely replicated outside the clinic.
