[person:personal_statement]
My clinical interest and expertise focus on pregnancies with both complex maternal medical and obstetrical complications and fetal complications. My team developed collaborative care programs in cardio-obstetrics; diabetes; infectious disease (HIV) with medical, neonatology, surgical and anesthesiology subspecialists; and nurse navigators to provide detail prenatal diagnosis and comprehensive care for both mother and her special fetus(es).
I have the skillsets to develop complicated intrapartum and postpartum care for mothers with complicated medical disorders. I do this with compassion, working closely with the patient’s care team, including midwives.
I am deeply committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based care to my patients and their families through a patient and family focus approach that includes active listening and engagement and comprehensive communication/education of pregnancy complications. I believe health care is a partnership, and I strive to treat patients and families as individuals, collaborating with them and personalizing their care to help them achieve their health care goals.
