Olivia Salinas, MPAS, PA-C is a dedicated Physician Assistant who joined the Surgical Hospitalist Team at Texas Children's Hospital West Campus in 2024. Olivia serves as a Surgical First Assistant in a variety of specialties, including general surgery, hand surgery, urology and orthopedic surgery. In this role, Olivia works closely with pediatric surgeons, providing hands-on support in the operating room and assisting with a wide range of complex procedures. She plays an essential role in ensuring the success of surgeries and the safety of her young patients, always striving to deliver high-quality, compassionate care.
Olivia is committed to a collaborative, patient-centered approach to health care, believing in the importance of actively listening to patients and their families to create personalized care plans. Her work spans multiple surgical disciplines, which has allowed her to gain a well-rounded skill set, adapting to the varied needs of each surgical team and patient.
Outside of her clinical responsibilities, Olivia is deeply involved in her community and passionate about wellness initiatives. She enjoys spending time with her family, hiking and traveling, which helps her stay refreshed and grounded in her work.
