Luis is as an Outreach Athletic Trainer providing sports medicine services to Spring ISD.
Before coming to Texas Children's, Luis worked at the collegiate sports level and professional sports level. He spent one year with Houston Christian University with the responsibilities of the men's soccer and baseball teams. Following his time with HCU, Luis spent two seasons with the Miami Marlins as a MiLB Athletic Trainer.
His main interests are in shoulder and elbow injury prevention and rehabilitation in overhead athletes and studying the effects of sleep on human performance and mental health.

I am a certified Athletic Trainer dedicated to helping athletes recover from injury and return to the sport they enjoy. My approach combines evidence-based rehabilitation with individualized care. I take pride in building trust with every athlete I work with, guiding them not only through recovery but also in learning how to stay healthy and perform at their best long-term.
Seeing an athlete successfully step back onto the field after putting in hours of hard work is what drives me in this profession.
My hobbies include following baseball and football, music, cooking and recreational sports.
My wife Victoria and I have a son named Daniel.
